THE POLAR EXPRESS
The Polar Express is a Christmas film for people who believe in Santa Claus. The leading actor is Tom Hanks and it is directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film is action-packed and full of suspense.
The film is set on an imaginary train. On Christmas Eve the train takes children who want to visit to the North Pole. The story is about a boy and his friends, who have many adventures on the train. They arrive at the North Pole to visit Santa Claus, who gives them presents. The next morning they wake up in their homes.
I really enjoyed the film. In my opinion, the special effects and the acting were excellent. I particularly like Tom Hanks’ performance. The ending is unpredictable. The Polar Express is suitable for all ages and I recommend it.

TWINS
My favourite film is Twins, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. It is a comedy directed by Ivan Reitman.
The story is about a genetic experiment that leads to the birth of twins, who are completely different from one another. Julius is tall, muscular and perfect while Vincent is short, fat and bald. Most importantly, however, is that they don’t know each other exists. Thirty-five years after their birth, the two brothers meet under difficult conditions.
The film is a bit long, which makes it boring, but it’s very funny. See Twins and you’ll laugh a lot.

DREAMSCAPE
Dreamscape is an adventure-horror film which is directed by Joseph Ruben. Dennis Quaid, Max von Sydow, Kate Capshaw, Christopher Plummer star in this film.
It is about the president of the USA who has a dream, but can’t wake up. Only one person can save him. Alex Gardner is enlisted by Dr Paul Novotny to take part in an experiment which investigates nightmares. But a government agency has bad plans for Alex and tries to sabotage him.

Dreamscape is very exciting and action-packed. The ending is unpredictable. All in all, it’s a very successful film and I recommend it to other children.

A CINDERELLA STORY
A Cinderella Story is a romantic comedy, full of fantasy and anxiety. It is directed by Mark Rosman and stars Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.
The story is about a girl who grows up with her step-mother and step-sisters. She lost her mother when she was ten years old. In high school, she meets a boy on the Internet and they send e-mails to each other. When they finally meet, they fall in love, but her step-mother won’t let her see him.
The movie is full of laughter and suspense. There aren’t any violent scenes, or special effects, but there are fantastic moments at the end. All in all, I liked A Cinderella Story a lot and I would definitely recommend it.

ICE AGE
My favourite film is Ice Age. It’s a very funny action, cartoon. The film is set on a frozen mountain. There are three main characters: a sloth called Sid, a tiger called Diego and a mammoth called Manfred.
The three heroes find a human baby in the snow and decide to return it to his parents. During their trip, they get trapped in a snowstorm. They also fight off enemies, but manage to win. Finally, they find a group of humans and return the baby to his father. In the end, they travel together to the south to escape from the Ice Age.
In my opinion, Ice Age is a fantastic film. There are many funny scenes and the acting was excellent, although the film is made on computers. There aren’t any violent scenes and the ending is happy so the film is especially for children and generally for the whole family.

THE CURSE OF THE JADE SCORPION
The Curse of the Jade Scorpion is a comedy directed by Woody Allen. Woody Allen, Helen Hunt, Charlize Theron and Dan Aykroyd star is this film.
The story takes place in New York in 1940. It is about a relationship between a man and a woman. It’s full of humour and it is one of Woody Allen’s best films.
I think that this film is hilarious and the acting is excellent. Overall, The Curse of the Jade Scorpion is excellent and both children and adults can learn a lot of things about love from it.

MADAGASCAR
Madagascar is a cartoon film. The leading “actors” are a lion called Alex, a zebra called Marty, a giraffe called Melman and a hippo called Gloria.
The story is about four animals that escape from the New York Zoo and travel on a big ship to the jungle. Then they realize that life in the jungle isn’t so easy. In the film, the animals try to get by in the jungle, while waiting for the ship to go back to the zoo. But when the ship comes, it hasn’t got any fuel so they stay with the friends they have made there.
The film Madagascar is very funny. The music is fantastic and the ending is unpredictable and happy. Overall, I found the film funny. It’s suitable for children, but lots of adults have seen it because it’s a big success. I definitely recommend it.

HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is my favourite movie because I like the actors and the acting very much. Harry Potter is played by Daniel Radcliffe. In the film, Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Green) are his friends.
The movie is about a boy who is living with his aunt because his parents are dead. He is sent to a school of magic. The person who killed his parents is a wizard and he wants to get revenge.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is an exciting film, filled with adventure and magic. Don’t miss it and the other three!
